Andrew Payne

Owner, Pilot, Consultant
Andrew PayneAfter graduating Parks College at Saint Louis University in 2005 I had the opportunity to fly with the Production Test Department at Raytheon Aircraft Company. Performing first flights on all Beech and Hawker products made me realize general aviation is where my heart was. Unfortunately the position at RAC was temporary, but I was able to find a new flying home at a regional airline. I still pursue my GA passion both by ferrying aircraft and working with clients to turn their dream of ownership into reality. Currently an ATP rated pilot with over 8000 hours in dozens of aircraft types.

“We’re a small and growing aviation resource group. We look forward to meeting you and your individual needs.  So what are you waiting for, let’s connect! ” – Andrew Payne, Owner NPS

Ray

Ferry Pilot

Ray is a retired American Airlines Captain with almost 19,000 hours and 39 years of flying experience in a wide variety of aircraft from light sport aircraft to Boeing 767.  He graduated from San Jose State University in 1978 with a BS in Aeronautics before joining the U.S. Air Force.  He flew KC-135s and T-37s, and was a flight instructor and flight examiner in the T-41.

After 9 years of service, he joined American Airlines in 1987 and flew Boeing 727s, the DC-10, Boeing 757 and 767 and the MD-80.  Retiring early, he joined Virgin America as they started service, and flew the Airbus 319 and 320.  In 2009, Ray retired from airline flying altogether and flew the bush in Australia for 3 years, an experience he truly loved.

Ray has an ATP multi-engine, Commercial SE, and is a CFII/ME with over 1800 hours of flight instruction experience in both single and multi-engine aircraft.  Having flown more nearly all of the single engine aircraft models manufactured by Cessna, Piper, Grumman, Mooney and Beechcraft, he has also flown a wide variety of Cessna, Beechcraft and Piper twins, including the Kingair.  He is type rated in the Boeing 757-767, DC-9 series, and Airbus 319-320.

Ray continues regular active flying by ferrying aircraft for NPS and free lance instructing.
